About herbs vitamins and minerals
It’s important to understand that herbs, vitamins and minerals, although effective in their own right, exhibit a broad spectrum of bioactivities and are not single pathway/target mechanisms. Herbs, vitamins and minerals are natural bioactives that work in concert with your body towards better health and well being.
The primary bio-actives included in Ohh.. black seed oil and elderberry gummies formula are backed by science and have been clinically researched in numerous published scientific journals and articles.

Thymoquinone is a phytochemical compound, it is the most active and abundant antioxidant constituent present in black seed. Research shows that it has promising pharmacological properties against several diseases. It exhibits amazing antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, anticancer , and other major biological activities. Basically, it scavenges free radicals and prevents the cell damage resulting from oxidative substances.

Ohh.. partners with farmers who employ sustainable, responsible and organic farming methods in Bale Valley, Ethiopia and Tokat Province, Turkey. The seeds are collected, cleaned, manually cold-pressed and third party tested for purity and Thymoquinone content. Studies show that Nigella sativa has been native to these regions for thousands of years. In Turkey, evidence of black seed cultivation dates back to the ancient Hittite empire in 1650 BC. Our Ethiopian black seed oil is pressed from seeds harvested from farms in the Bale Valley in Ethiopia. Here the soil is known to be superior and nutrient rich due to traditional crop rotation practices and the proximity of Ethiopia to the equator.

Elderberry
Organic Elderberry extract is taken from premium elderberry fruit. It It is the second bioactive in our gummy formula. We chose elderberry (Sambucus nigra) because according to hundreds of clinical studies the berries are naturally rich in phyto-protein, vitamin C and a wide range of important flavonoids, including quercetin and anthocyanins, which are believed to account for the therapeutic effects. However, elderberries also contain a variety of nutrients ranging from various vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6, B9, rich amounts of vitamin C and E), trace elements such as Cu, Zn, Fe; minerals such as K, Ca and Mg; and phytochemicals such as carotenoids, phytosterols and polyphenols. [1,2]
Elderberries are also well known for reducing inflammation and oxidative stress. [3]
Published studies show that elderberry also reduces liver inflammation and improves HDL function and atherosclerotic plaque stability. Read more about the amazing benefits of elderberry in a published scientific journal here.
